About JETTE HOPP

Jette Cathrin Hopp wurde 1971 geboren und wuchs mehrsprachig mit Norwegisch, Deutsch und Dänisch auf. Die Architektin arbeitet seit 2005 für Snøhetta, derzeit als Direktorin und Teil der Managementgruppe, und ist für Akquise und neue Projekte verantwortlich.

Sie verfügt über umfangreiche Erfahrungen mit komplexen Projekten, sowohl in Norwegen als auch international und hat wichtige internationale Projekte und Wettbewerbe geleitet. Sie hält regelmäßig Vorträge bei Architektursymposien, Konferenzen und internationalen Institutionen, wobei sie die Firmenphilosophie und Designideen von Snøhetta kommuniziert. Sie ist Jurymitglied mehrerer Architekturwettbewerbe und Preise.

Als Kritikerin wird Jette Cathrin Hopp regelmäßig zu Architekturuniversitäten weltweit eingeladen. Sie war Teamleiterin für das Projekt des Museum im King Abdul Aziz Center for Knowledge and Culture im saudi-arabischen Dharhan, für die Norwegische Staatsoper und das Staatsballett in Oslo, und als Projektleiterin für den Bau eines großangelegten Hotel- und Resortkomplexes in Hvar in Kroatien. Sie hat wichtige internationale Bauprojekte mit Schwerpunkt auf Nachhaltigkeit betreut: die Astana Expo 2017 „Future Energy“ in Kasachstan; das Lingkong Soho Shanghai, China; den Elbtower in Hamburg; außerdem innovative umweltschonende Projekte in Norwegen wie das Powerhouse One in Trondheim und die Konzeptphase des Powerhouse Kjørbo in Sandvika, das weltweit erste sanierte Positiv-Energiehaus.

Born 1971 and growing up multilingual with Norwegian, German and Danish, Jette Cathrin Hopp is a graduate architect and has been working with Snøhetta since 2005. She is director and part of the management group, with responsibility for acquisition and new projects.

Jette has extensive experience in complex both Norwegian and international projects, leading major international project developments and competitions. She regularly lectures at architectural symposia, conferences and international institutions, sharing Snøhetta´s philosophy and design ideas and she is also a jury member for several architecture competitions and prizes. Jette is also regularly invited as a critic to international architecture universities.

Examples of her experience are her role as team leader for the museum in the King Abdul Aziz Center for Knowledge and Culture, Dharhan in Saudi Arabia, Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, Oslo and as the project leader for largescale hotel and resort development of Hvar in Croatia. About Snøhetta

Snøhetta began as a collaborative architectural and landscape work­shop and has remained true to its trans-disciplinary way of thinking since its inception. Today Snøhetta has grown to become an internationally renowned practice of architecture, landscape architecture, interior architecture and brand design. Comprised of two main stu­dios, in Oslo, Norway and New York, USA, the practice currently has more than 230 employees from 32 different nations.
