28 Positions of Women Architects Worldwide:
On Architecture in the 21st Century

Architect Ines Miersch-Süß invites colleagues from 28 countries to present their positions on the role of architecture in the 21st century. Women architects rarely appear in the world of architectural debates. They are more unknown. We want to question this and give female architects the opportunity to make their positions and thus themselves visible to the world. The result will be presented at the event and published in a book in 2022. The panel discussion „Ways to presence!“ closes the circle.

WIA 2021 is the first festival on women in architecture in Berlin. In one of the world's most exciting cities for planning, building and negotiating, the n-ails e.V. network and the Berlin Chamber of Architects, together with around 30 female actors, are facilitating almost 100 events at many different venues for four weeks: exhibitions, film series, guided tours, symposia, lectures, workshops and more.

Equality Under Construction

The festival offers a space for the examination of works by women and the long overdue restructuring of the profession.
